Butter chicken Masala is an irresistible delicacy that is packed with all the rich and royal flavors. This curry-based dish is mildly spiced and has a creamy texture that is accommodating to every palette. The vivid popularity of this dish makes it a staple food item in every Indian restaurant.
It was created in the 1950s by Kundan Lal Gujral, the owner of Moti Mahal restaurant in Delhi. The interesting fact about this famous dish is that it was an accidental discovery by the owner. He didn’t want to discard the leftover tandoori chicken; instead he added it in a tomato-based gravy, cooked in butter and cream. Voila! there was this incredible recipe, which won our hearts and stomach.

How to make Butter Chicken Masala at home
Heat oil in a pan, add chopped onion, cook well and then add tomatoes, cook till tomatoes are softened, then add garam masala pd, cashew/magaj, red chilly pd, mix well, and cool the mixture.
Blend the mixture with water, strain it to get a fine paste.
Heat butter in a pan, add bay leaf, ginger garlic paste, cook well then add the masala paste mix well, and add the red chilly pd.
Cook well until the gravy turns thicker, then add chicken and Kasuri methi.
Mix well and cook, check for the seasoning and Serve hot!
